“We have become an extension of those organisations and businesses,” says Claire Jameson, who as business development director heads up B&FC for Business. “Our consultative services enable our partners to develop robust learning and development strategies that align precisely with their business objectives.
“One example is the development of a bespoke apprenticeship leadership programme for Blackpool Transport that will engage over 40 employees up to Level 5. We are also partnering with Lancashire NHS Trust and by April will have around 200 apprentices on our training programmes.

Case study: Westinghouse Springfields
B&FC for Business has provided training for the workforce at Westinghouse Springfields from its historic British Nuclear Fuels roots.
Keith Tidmarsh, apprentice training manager, said: “We have had a long and beneficial relationship with B&FC for Business and have been sending apprentices to study engineering at B&FC for more than 25 years.
“In more recent years the development of their degree programme has enabled us to offer employees the opportunity to study engineering degrees part time. Much of Springfield’s engineering workforce gained their qualifications through programmes at B&FC.”
