Apprenticeships: an investment in our business future
Swansway Group is very proud of its history of investing in talent, as evidenced by the various apprenticeships we offer. To see how this works for the individual we cuaght up with Adam Buckley at the end of his first 100 days into a Customer Service Apprenticeship at our prestigious Blackburn Audi centre. This is Adam’s first full time job after studying business at Bury College. Adam says he was always interested in cars and very much enjoyed working on his own car, so when he wasn’t inspired by university attendance, he was thrilled to be offered an opportunity to expand his skills and experiences in the work place with us.
Adam laughingly told us he expected that joining the workforce would be “much scarier”, but in fact, everyone has been really supportive and welcoming. And he has very much enjoyed learning what goes on “behind the scenes” in the motor trade.
One day Adam sees himself running a business of his own and he is delighted that he feels he is getting all the right knowledge to eventually “go for it” with a brilliant idea. In the meantime we are very glad that he is devoting all his brilliant ideas to improving all our Blackburn Audi customers’ experiences. And we, as always are very much enjoying watching talent flourish.
