Sub36 social - online networking
Sub36 has gone virtual!
Sub36 Social via zoom webinar
4-5pm, Wednesday 15 July 2020
Free to attend
In association with Positive Pennine
As current restrictions mean that our Sub36 events programme is on hold we have recently introduced our online Sub36 social events to continue our support of the Sub36 network with a platform to connect with peers and access the support you need during this time.
This series of events is an online version of our popular networking events which aim to be informal but informative, fun but with purpose and a fantastic opportunity to meet like-minded professionals from across the county in all areas of business.
Join us on July 15 for the next Sub36 Social, our online networking event, featuring an interview with the Sub36 2019 Innovator Award sponsor and 2015 Young'Un in Manufacturing and Engineering, Annette Weekes managing director of PDS Engineering.
Annette runs three companies: PDS, Tooling Solutions and Morow, which is developing an innovative stroke rehabilitation device. She owns and develops industrial properties and mentors several other business leaders.
Annette is also a director of East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, Pendle Vision Board, Lancashire Manufacturing Forum, Regional Manufacturing Forum, and is actively involved with the Aerospace Alliance.
In 2019, Nelson-based PDS Engineering sponsored the Sub36 Innovator Award, won by Sam Marsh, Jigsaw Project Services, based in West Lancashire. Since then, Annette has been Sam's mentor as part of the Sub36 awards scheme aimed at further developing the county’s young talent.
The two companies are now working closely on the development of a number of new fitness and conditioning products – with more projects in the pipeline.
- A chance to meet our sponsors
- Opportunity to speak with a 30 second intro on how you could help those in the network (a select few attendees will be selected for this due to time restrictions)
- A chance to connect following the event as we put you in touch with each attendee directly
If you’re aged under 36 and would like to join us, register here now.
Upon registration we will ask all attendees to opt in or out of the following, we hope you will get involved with both:
- 30 second speaking opportunity
If you would like the opportunity to do a very quick intro on who you are and how you could support others in the network, please let us know in advance via the registration form. Please note due to time restraints, we can't offer this to all participants and we'll randomly select a small number of attendees to take part in this at each event
- Sharing of your email address with other webinar participants
Following the webinar on 10 June we will be sending an email copying in all participants so that attendees can follow-up directly with any relevant contacts. As it’s ‘online networking’ this is our version of you meeting someone and taking their business card away to follow-up with later.
Please see below for other Sub36 Social dates:
Each event will follow a similar format but with different speakers, interviews and updates. do join us for just one, two or all of the events.
