Blackburn manufacturing firm Woodscape has designed and manufactured street furniture for the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Woodscape designed and manufactured a suite of bespoke timber street furniture for the project, in accordance with the LLDC Inclusive Design Standards. These standards require furniture to be of the highest quality, have a clear purpose, contribute to uncluttered spaces and the easy movement of people through the space.
Managing director of Woodscape, Richard Nelson, said: “We’re so incredibly proud to see our outdoor furniture taking pride of place in the newly formed parklands, the space is a great legacy for Britain. As a family-owned business we are delighted to be recognised as a leader in terms of quality products for such high-profile schemes which is testament to our dedication to quality craftsmanship.” The extensive range of Woodscape street furniture will be installed over the coming months at various sites across the park and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park will be fully open in spring 2014 as it is transformed with new community centres, cafes and gardens.
