Why we developed our telephone answering service app

By Face for Business

08 Aug 2018

Why did we create the app?

We created this app to underline our mission statement…

"To become the UK’s best PA/Receptionist provider, by going the extra mile for our customers and delivering outstanding quality, service and value.”

We also wanted an app to enable our customers to access our service at their fingertips. They can already log in to their own unique customer portal on a desktop, but we wanted to better this and keep up with demand and modern technological advances by allowing our customers to access their calls and messages on the move. In our mobile optimised society, we wanted to ensure that we had an appropriate offering for our customers, and the app was the perfect solution.

Have regular contact with your PABeing in frequent contact with your PA via the app means that, although she is working virtually for you, she will have immediate access to your day to day whereabouts and will be able to advise your callers when to expect a return call – whether you are at a meeting, in training, taking a lunch break, on the school run or are needing uninterrupted time in the office. You can let your PA know quickly and easily via the app.

How our app will help you in your businessThere are a number of predetermined statuses that you can choose from. For example, you set a status to say you’re on holiday, noting the dates you are away, and can set an expiry date for the morning you are back at work answering your calls. Your status will automatically change back to ‘available’. You can add your own bespoke status too, as well as being able to pick and choose from the list.

We also created the app for those businesses that need to outsource their calls but may struggle to put their confidence in a telephone answering service. With our app you can listen to your calls being handled - we record all calls for the sole purpose of quality assurance to ensure that we are fulfilling our promise to you, of getting to know your business before we go live with your calls. This function allows you to have faith and confidence in Face for Business’ phone answering service, and is unique in our sector. You can listen in to any of your calls direct from the app. Furthermore, we encourage feedback, by inviting you to leave comments for calls, if you wish

FunctionalityThe app has been tested during the last few months by a group of our existing clients who have proved instrumental in the evolution of the app already. It is now fully functional and has passed all our quality assurance checks. Furthermore, all our PAs have been trained to use the app to guide their clients through the process and are able to demonstrate the best way to use it.

When you become a customer of ours you’ll be given secure login details. All your messages and calls will be stored on the app for up to 90 days. The app is free to download from the app store which you can do here.

Our brand valuesFace for Business strives to go the extra mile and is fully customer focused. Everything we do is to enhance our customers’ experience of our telephone answering service. We know that their image and professionalism are main priorities. We try our best to be open and honest about our service – our pricing is on our website and we want our customers to listen to their calls so they can assess for themselves how we represent their company.

We only employ people who we consider to be the best PAs. They undergo a rigorous training programme. They have a telephone interview initially, then are invited in to meet the team, are appraised in the way our service works, undergo several telephony tests then have a second and third interview. This training, together with the quality of the PAs we employ is why we believe ‘Our PAs are the Difference’. If you would like to find out more about our telephone answering service, please do have a look around our website and meet some of ours PAs.
