What are wax melts, and how to use them

At Delilah Chloe we offer a range of luxurious soy wax melts that provide long-lasting fragrance for every room within the home. Here, we’ve put together a little more information about our melts, how to use them, and top tips to ensure you’re getting the most out of them.

WHAT ARE WAX MELTS?

Wax Melts are typically small sized items that are a blend of wax and fragrance. They can be used in various ways, such as the traditional wax burner, using a tea-light candle as the source of heat. Or nowadays, you can easily find plugin electric burners, eliminating the need for any tea-light burning.

Our Delilah Chloe Wax Melts are blended with our natural soy wax base and luxurious fragrance oils to provide long-lasting scent. Using a natural soy wax for our melts ensures they are environmentally safe and good for our own health also! Our melts are Vegan friendly and cruelty free, so you can truly enjoy them with peace of mind.  

WHAT DO YOU I USE TO MELT THEM?

There are various options available these days for using your wax melts. At Delilah Chloe we recommend using a ceramic traditional wax burner to get the most out of your melts. For the wax burners you simply light a tea-light candle and pop a small amount of your melt on the top of the burner. The heat from the tea-light candle allows the wax to melt, evaporating gorgeous scent into the air.

Alternatively, you can use electric plugin burners. Always ensure your burners are out of reach from little curious hands and fluffy family members.

HOW LONG DO THEY LAST FOR?

At Delilah Chloe we’re often receiving amazing feedback from our customers to say how long their wax melts last! Due to our natural blend, this ensures that the fragrance reaches optimum scent throw. On average our melts have a burn time of approximately 72 hours, which is around 3-4 tea-light uses.

A top tip! Occasionally flipping your wax melt over will provide even longer fragrance enjoyment.

ARE WAX MELTS SAFE?

Absolutely! Our Melts are completely safe to use. Of course, this ensures being sensible with the wax burner you have opted to use. If you are using the traditional tea-light burner, always ensure it is away from soft furnishing and out of reach from children and animals. Alternatively, if you’ve opted for an electric burner, always ensure it is plugged into a safe area, and unplugged during the evenings as you sleep.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I CHANGE MY MELTS?

This is purely personal choice! Our noses adjust to scents quite quickly, so swapping between melts is always a good idea to ensure you’re constantly enjoying fragrance around your home. (Make sure to keep the melt you’ve taken off the burner – you can 100% reuse this!).

HOW DO I CHANGE MY WAX MELT?

Changing your wax melt is very simple and easy, however, always ensure the wax has set completely before handling! Once your melt has set, you can simply slide it out of the burner, give your burner a little wipe down to make sure it’s ready for a fresh melt!
