Week of free business events in Blackpool

Blackpool Council has organised a week of free events to help inform and inspire local businesses and entrepreneurs.

Blackpool Enterprise Week will run in conjunction with Global Entrepreneurship Week, taking place from November 13 to 17 at venues across the resort.

Activities will range from from large-scale events to intimate networking gatherings, and connect participants to potential collaborators, mentors and investors.

Free workshops will cater for those who are thinking of starting a business, and some for those who are well established.

A wide range of topics including finance, on-line marketing and selling will be covered as well as the basics of how to start your business and a session on creating customer focussed business models.

Councillor Mark Smith, cabinet member for regeneration, enterprise and economic development, said: “Blackpool has long had a reputation for creating entrepreneurs – people with bright ideas who are prepared to turn them into viable businesses.
