SeoBusiness Martin Bleasdale

seoBusiness may be a new name in digital marketing but our company history dates back more than a quarter of a century – and for a majority of that time, Martin Bleasdale has played a vital role in our delivery of industry-leading web projects.

This year, Martin celebrates 15 years with our company. His will be a familiar name to our many clients, responsible for turning their ambitious ideas into real-life, beautifully-designed websites.

Latif Kothia, director of seoBusiness (formerly known as eBusiness UK), said of Martin: “When we ask our clients what sets us apart from the competition, they tell us it’s that we’re friendly and approachable, and that we deliver exceptional work.

“Martin is vital to both of these aspects of our business. His design work always impresses and as a first point of contact for many of our clients, he’s a great ambassador for us.

“We’re very grateful for his 15 years of service with seoBusiness and look forward to many more years with him at the heart of our team.”

We asked Martin about his time with us, and here’s what he told us:

How would you describe your day-to-day role and responsibilities at seoBusiness?

My main role is designing and developing new websites to meet our clients’ needs, as well as maintaining existing sites to ensure that they’re up-to-date and working as they should.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

My role gives me the opportunity to be creative and develop websites that are easy to use for our customers – and their customers too.

We work with a wide range of customers – across industries as diverse as healthcare, manufacturing and retail – so it’s not a case of always providing the same solution for everyone. Everybody gets a bespoke solution that fits what they need.

What do you enjoy about working for seoBusiness?

The variety of the type of work always keeps things interesting, and it also gives me the opportunity to constantly learn new things and sharpen my skills.

Do you have any particular favourite projects?

Over the 15 years I have worked on so many projects where I’ve been really proud of the result that I couldn’t possibly name them all!

Perhaps one of the most notable is the website which we built for First Tunnels. They were one of our first clients and have always been ahead of the curve in terms of the internet and ecommerce.

We developed a polytunnel configurator which allows users to design and order their own bespoke products. It took a lot of time and expertise to create but has worked out very well for the client.

How has digital marketing changed since you joined seoBusiness 15 years ago?

Since joining the company, the way people browse websites has changed massively.

Whereas we used to just design websites to be browsed on a PC, we now have to consider mobiles, tablets and other devices too!

Social media is a lot bigger and more important, too. Fifteen years ago there were certainly fewer platforms around.

Have there been any other changes over the years?

It’s been interesting to see the business evolve and grow over the years. On a personal note, I’ve got married, had two children and moved house – so a lot has certainly happened!

Thanks for all you do, Martin!
