Vincents adds to senior management team

By Vincents Solicitors

05 Dec 2014

Vincents Solicitors has promoted Mark Alexander to its senior management team with responsibility for leading and expanding the commercial department.

Mark joined the Preston-based firm in November 2012 to help grow its commercial offering, primarily corporate transactional work. His promotion will see him head up all commercial disciplines, including commercial property, contract and employment law as well as manage a team of seven, including five fee earners.

Speaking about his new role, Mark said: “I’m pleased to be stepping up into senior management and taking a more strategic role in developing the firm’s commercial services.

“The department has experienced steady growth this year in line with improving economic conditions. Over the next 12 months, my aim is to increase our profitability, grow the team and our client base to ensure Vincents can maintain a leading position in a competitive market.”

Phillip Gilmore, managing partner at Vincents added: “Over the last two years, Mark has been invaluable in strengthening our commercial offering and we look forward to continuing to work with him to achieve our ambitious growth targets.”

Mark qualified as a solicitor in 2005. He spent six years at Marsden Rawsthorn where he was made a Partner and Head of Commercial Development before joining Vincents in 2012. He is also a trustee at the Foxton Centre, a Preston-based homeless charity. Mark’s promotion and the expansion of the commercial department is part of the firm’s plan to double in size within five years. The expansion strategy involves growth based on recruitment and acquisition, broadening the firm’s service offering, increasing the skill base within each department, and expanding geographically into new markets.
