Lancashire accountants and business advisers Cassons has expanded with two new recruits.

Nick Gardner joins the accounts department as audit and account senior and Rob Witham strengthens the tax team in a mixed tax role.

Nick joins Cassons from Baker Tilly where he acted in a supervisory position within the audit team. An accounting graduate of the University of Salford, Nick was recently presented with two awards from the Manchester Society of Chartered Accountants for excelling in ACA exams, Business Change and Financial Management.

About his experience so far he said: “From my first day at Cassons I have been made to feel very welcome and I already feel like part of the team.”

Bringing with him over 10 years of experience in corporate and personal tax, Rob joined the Cassons’ tax team from Haines Watts in a mixed tax role. Rob says he finds interaction with clients invaluable: “I relish having the opportunity to build a strong, business relationship with clients. Having face to face communication is of paramount importance. I am looking forward to my future at Cassons and working in a growing team of people with expert abilities.” Les Nutter, managing partner of Cassons said: “We are delighted to welcome Nick and Rob to our accounts and tax departments. They are both very knowledgeable, well rounded individuals and will help enhance our team of business advisers as we grow and develop as a business.”
