Townfield Mobility are proudly celebrating their third consecutive season as sponsors of Great Harwood Rovers, with the club’s home ground officially named the Townfield Mobility Arena since April 2023.

The ongoing arena sponsorship underscores Townfield Mobility’s commitment to supporting local grassroots football and strengthening ties with the community.

The partnership also continues a long-standing family connection between Townfield and the club.

Parents Maria and the late Geoff Timmins first began sponsoring Great Harwood Rovers more than 25 years ago, with sons Michael and John later playing for the teams.

Founded in 1975, Great Harwood Rovers have been at the heart of the community for nearly 50 years.

As an FA Charter Standard Community Club, they are run entirely by local volunteers and provide grassroots football for over 350 children, across 27 boys’ and girls’ teams from Under 7s to Under 18s, plus a thriving Mini League for ages four to six.

This summer, the club unveiled a new crest, the first in its history to feature both men’s and women’s football.

The refreshed design represents equality, inclusion, and unity, with male and female football figures side by side, reflecting the club’s commitment to supporting football for all.

John Timmins, director of Townfield Mobility, said: “We’re incredibly proud to continue supporting Great Harwood Rovers as arena sponsors for the third year running.

"This club has meant so much to our family for more than two decades, and it’s inspiring to see how it has grown, bringing opportunities to so many young people in our community. Being part of that journey is a real privilege.”

Nigel Sutton, chair of Great Harwood Rovers FC, said: “We are hugely grateful to Townfield Mobility for their continued support as our arena sponsors.

"Their commitment not only helps us maintain and grow our facilities but also strengthens our ability to provide grassroots football for boys and girls of all ages. Partnerships like this are vital to keeping community football alive.”
