Business owners and professionals across Bury and North Manchester have a new opportunity to network and build relationships thanks to three leading local businesses.
WHN Solicitors, chartered accountancy, business advisory and financial planning group, PM+M, and Bury BID have joined forces to launch Bury Business Club, a new quarterly networking event. The first event takes place on Thursday September 25, 5pm to 7pm, at Bury’s award-winning venue, The Met, which is located on Market Street.
The free-to-attend event aims to bring together the region’s vibrant business community in an informal, social setting.
Julie Sutherland, director of business development and marketing at WHN Solicitors, which is headquartered in Bury, said: “Bury and North Manchester is home to a vibrant business and professional community built on long-standing relationships.
“We wanted to create a regular event that brings together people in a relaxed environment. This isn’t a hard-sell business group, it’s a about catching up with business friends, sharing ideas and meeting new people.”
Jill Morris, partner at PM+M, which has offices in Bury, said: “Our clients and professional partners told us there was real appetite for a regular, informal networking event in the area. Bury Business Club is our way of supporting that need and we’re excited to play a part in strengthening the local business community.”
Nigel Shields, Bury BID town centre director, added: “This is another great example of partnership working in Bury. We have a thriving private sector and professional community and it’s important that we create an environment that brings them together while also attracting new people into the area.”
Drinks and nibbles will be provided by the founding partners. The event is expected to welcome around 75 attendees. People wanting to register can do so by visiting the Bury Business Club Eventbrite page at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/bury-business-club-tickets-1576894075629?aff=oddtdtcreator
