TotalCool targets new markets with £500,000 funding deal

Clitheroe-based TotalCool is aiming to expand into new markets after securing a £500,000 capital investment from Growth Lending.

The company, founded in 2015, manufactures portable leisure and camping goods and will utilise its enhanced working capital position to begin targeting B2B customers.

TotalCool's ranges include air conditioning units, portable fridge freezers, solar panels and portable rechargeable batteries. They feature rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, powered by a foldable and portable solar panel, enabling them to be used 'off the grid'.

Adam Drinkwater, managing director at TotalCool, said: "As we aim to expand our business to serve a wider range of clients, the funding will help maintain our current operations and enable us to reach new markets to achieve our ambitious growth plans.”

Growth Lending provides tailored funding for B2B firms. The team provided £64m under the government CBILS initiative in 2021 and aims to double in size by the end of 2022.
