Top tips: Password protection

by StoneHouse Logic

These days there's a never ending stream of online and offline account passwords, pins, usernames and logins we need to keep safe. Here's how best to go about it:
  1. Keep your cards close to your chest, and your passwords even closer. Sharing is stupid.
  2. Maintain them in an encrypted (password protected) file on your computer - then really you'll only have one to remember.
  3. Don't fall foul of spammers trying to pull the wool over your eyes and take your passwords out from under your nose. If it smells dodgy, it probably is!
  4. Avoid logging in on publicly accessible desktops. They're rife with malware, spyware and adware that'll pinch your priceless details.
