The first speakers have been unveiled for Lancashire Business View’s AI and Cybersecurity Summit.
The event is taking place on April 28 at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel, Clayton-le-Moors, between 8.30am and 11am.
Dan Giannasi from the North West Cyber Resilience Centre has been confirmed on the line-up.
The detective inspector has tackled cyber threats across the region and understands the challenges facing businesses in the digital age.
Also taking to the stage will be Marcello Trovati, professor of digital transformation from the University of Lancashire and Dan Knowles founder of Northern Reach.
Marcello’s major research interests focus on AI, including machine learning, natural language processing, and automated decision-making frameworks.

His CV also includes spells as a researcher at the IBM Research Centre in Dublin, a professor of computer science at Edge Hill University, and a senior lecturer at the University of Derby.
Dan’s innovation ecosystem consultancy Northern Reach focuses on connecting businesses, talent, and opportunity across the region’s digital and technology sectors.

He has spent several years building and leading initiatives that support the growth of startups and scale-ups, particularly through the Lancashire Digital Hub and Electech Innovation Cluster.
