The SUMO Guy to inspire Blackpool businesses at growth event

One of Europe’s leading speakers on change, resilience, leadership and wellbeing, Professor Paul McGee, is to deliver an inspiring keynote session to growing businesses in Blackpool.  

Paul McGee, The SUMO Guy, is a Sunday Times best-selling author with 13 books published worldwide. He has spoken in 40 countries to over a million people and over a thousand companies. He is known for his work with top brands such as Nespresso, Harrods, Adidas, Virgin and Manchester City. 

Paul has a track record of delivering impactful sessions that are both inspiring, practical and filled with humour. As a visiting Professor at the University of Chester he is highly regarded for his expertise in human behaviour and business leadership.

Organised by Blackpool Council’s Business Growth team, the ‘Inspiring Leadership for Growth, Change Resilience and Wellbeing’ event is scheduled for the morning of Wednesday, 19th June at the Village Hotel in the resort. It will see Paul McGee creating and delivering a bespoke session tailored specifically for growing businesses in Blackpool. 

The event will be hosted by Richard Slater, chairman of Lancashire Business View, who will also lead a panel discussion with business specialists including growth and scaling experts, as well as sustainability professionals.

The resort’s popular Blackpool Growth Business Academy and Blackpool Net Zero Business Academy will be available on the day to share the support available to businesses.

Businesses in Blackpool are encouraged to register for this free event with breakfast and lunch provided, as places are expected to go quickly. Attendees can look forward to gaining valuable insights and takeaways from Paul McGee's session which clients have described as inspiring, thought-provoking, humorous, and practical in helping businesses make a positive difference.

Speaking about the event, Paul McGee said: "I am thrilled to be invited to deliver a bespoke keynote for growing businesses in Blackpool. I look forward to sharing valuable insights and practical strategies that attendees can apply to their businesses. Prepare to laugh as well as learn."
