The Business Network Central and East Lancashire (BNCEL) closed out its networking calendar with a powerful show of generosity, raising £2,260 for its four charity members at the group’s annual Christmas event held at Mytton Fold on 4th December 2025.
The funds will be shared equally between:
- Advocacy Focus
- Let’s Make a Difference
- Rosemere Cancer Foundation
- The Wish Centre
Each charity received its donation certificate during the event, highlighting the network’s continued commitment to supporting organisations making a direct impact across the region.
The total was raised through a combination of on-the-day contributions and a lively auction supported by members. As always, the group’s collaborative spirit was on full display, with businesses large and small pitching in to help raise the final figure.
The event also recognised the vital role that charity members play throughout the year. Their ongoing involvement brings insight, purpose, and a community-driven heartbeat to the network - something members were keen to celebrate as the networking year drew to a close.
Karen Tems, founder and owner of BNCEL, said: “Our members never fail to step up. These four charities work tirelessly for our communities, and being able to support them in such a meaningful way is something we’re incredibly proud of. The generosity in the room was staggering - it speaks volumes about the businesses and people who make this network what it is.”
Representatives from all four charities attended the event to accept their certificates. From supporting vulnerable individuals and families to funding essential health services, each organisation will put the contribution straight to work within Lancashire communities.

The Business Network will return in January to begin another year of events, collaboration, and community support.
