Plans for a new £27m residential development in Chorley have been unveiled by Lancashire-based Baxter Homes.
If it is given the green-light by planners the Talbot Mill development will see 126 homes built on the 10.97-acre site near the Liverpool and Leeds Canal and the M61 corridor.
The proposed scheme is a mix of apartments and houses with improved green spaces for residents.
Callum Baxter of Baxter Homes said: “The site has a long planning history, but with the revised plans, we are looking forward to bringing the development to fruition and addressing local housing needs.
“In addition, we are hoping that during the construction phases, there will be an economic boost to the area by working with the local supply chain.”
Deborah Smith, of S&L Planning Consultants, which has acted as planning advisers on the scheme, said: “Talbot Mill represents a carefully considered opportunity to deliver high-quality, affordable housing within a connected, sustainable urban edge of Chorley.
“The proposal builds on previous approvals while incorporating refinements to housing mix, layout, and enhancing deliverability and long-term community benefit.”
