The company's TEG Environmental division will undertake work at its Simpro Oxton site in Nottinghamshire.

Starting this month, it will run for three years with a further two-year extension option and will generate revenues of up to £1.3m over that initial period.

The volume of waste to be handled is expected to be in the order of 12 to 15,000 tonnes per year. TEG chief executive Mick Fishwick said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this contract which will further strengthen our relationship with Nottingham City Council.”
