Swansway Motor Group expands bodyshop network

Family owned Swansway Motor Group has expanded its bodyshop operations with the addition of a new spraybooth facility alongside its Blackburn Audi dealership.

The facility, which opened in October, features three spraybooths, a workshop area and a team of full time employees. It will initially focus on non structural repairs, supporting Blackburn Audi’s body repair requirements while providing additional capacity within the Group’s wider bodyshop network.

Mark Trevers, Bodyshop Manager at Swansway Motor Group, said: “The addition of the Blackburn unit is another positive step in the development of our bodyshop operation. It gives us dedicated capacity to support Blackburn Audi, while helping us continue to develop our repair capabilities across the Group.

“We are always looking at how we can make the best use of our facilities and resources, ensuring we have the right people and equipment in place to meet demand.”

The Blackburn facility forms part of Swansway’s network of seven bodyshop sites, located across Crewe, Chester, Bolton, Oldham, Stafford and Carlisle, with Blackburn becoming the latest addition. Structural repairs are carried out at the Group’s head office site in Crewe.

Mark, who oversees bodyshop operations across the Group, said: “We’re also planning to add another spraybooth unit at Preston Audi. This is part of our ongoing investment in our bodyshop facilities and our aim to build capacity where it’s needed.”

Jonathan Rowley, director at Rowley Spraybooths, said: “This is the latest in a number of installations we’ve completed for the Group and that long standing relationship really shows in how smoothly a project of this scale comes together.

“Working closely with Mark Trevers and the team, we understood exactly what they needed from day one and we were able to deliver a complete, high-specification refinishing centre covering everything from the spraybooths and paint mixing room to office space and parts storage. It’s a real testament to the trust Swansway has placed in us over the years and we look forward to supporting them as their network continues to grow.”

Founded in 2003, Swansway Motor Group operates a network of dealerships across the North West, Midlands and Wales, representing brands including Audi, Volkswagen, Jaguar Land Rover, BYD, OMODA JAECOO, SEAT, CUPRA, Peugeot, Honda and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. The Group also operates Motor Match, its used car division.
