Sutton Group appoints HR expert Theresa Corish

Bacup-based footwear retailer Sutton Group has hired experienced HR professional Theresa Corish to help oversee its workforce of 600.

Theresa will draw on  three decades of experience as a HR chartered manager to drive the HR function for the group's six divisions, which includes Wynsors World of Shoes.

Her career to date includes supporting, coaching and advising directors, board members and senior managers at a string of well-known high street retailers and distributors including Boots and Sally Beauty Holdings.

Theresa said:  “Wynsors is a well-established business that has employees with long service and it has an energy about it which fits my personality, so I’m very passionate about this new role.

“If I could give any advice to young women who are starting out in a business, it would be to believe in yourself. There are big opportunities out there for those who work hard and stay focused."
