The business group that’s making a difference reports record growth.

Business strategists, marketing and community experts To The Summit Ltd have announced an expansion into Yorkshire, demonstrating that they really do practice what they preach.

Lancashire-based SUMMIT was launched in 2024 as the result of a merger between Forward Thinking Brand Strategists and Latitude Marketing, who merged over their synergy of shared values, a people and purpose-driven ethos, and complementary services.

The 15 strong SUMMIT team, led by five directors, provide a powerful blend of business strategy and planning, backed by marketing strategy and creative implementation.

The team are now delighted to announce that their influence and impact is spreading across the North of England.

Steve Hanson has joined as a franchise MD and Business Growth Guide to deliver the acclaimed Success GPS business strategy framework for North Yorkshire.

Steve brings his decades of business expertise after establishing and ultimately exiting from Callidus Health and Safety, a successful H&S business in Leeds.

Outside of work, Steve is passionate about sport; and coaches cricket at club and county level.  He’s played semi-professional rugby and found that the lessons he’s learnt from a high-level sporting environment have enhanced his options when making decisions in a business environment.

Steve said: "I established and grew an SME over the past 15 years, before selling it in 2024. The lessons I learnt from the process of setting up, growing and selling a small business have provided me with a wealth of knowledge which I’m ready to share with other business owners.

“The grounding I had in the corporate world equipped me to mould a business that was more agile and customer-focused than it could ever have been if constrained by the hierarchy and bureaucracy of large organisations.  This allowed me to grow the business on the foundations of excellent customer service and innovative approach to delivery.”

“I understand how daunting it can be when you’re the owner of a business that is responsible for other people’s livelihoods, and I’ve spent many long hours working through the myriad issues a small business owner has to cope with to ensure their business can grow sustainably and profitably. However, I also know how much fun it can be to achieve what you’ve set out for!”

Andy Henderson, co-founder of SUMMIT said: “This is an incredibly exciting time for SUMMIT. We’re thrilled to welcome Steve Hanson to the Summit franchise as our newest Business Growth Guide for North West Yorkshire and we know he’ll do an amazing job.

“These amazing individuals we attract truly embody what SUMMIT is all about—bringing people together, creating clarity, unlocking potential, and driving meaningful business growth. Steve is going to make a real difference to business owners across the region.

“Exciting times ahead, and we can’t wait to see the impact Steve creates.”
