Sugden Ltd supported Pendleside’s Mega Raiseathon by holding a Charity Golf Day at Marsden Park Golf Club on Friday 4th June.

David Clegg, project manager at Sugden, said: “The competition was really enjoyable and we had fabulous weather on the day. Our employees worked really hard to make this such a success.

"Sugden Ltd are very proud to have raised £1,371 from our Charity Golf Day for Pendleside Hospice . We plan to grow on this and make the 2022 event even better, thank you to everyone for their support."

It costs over £4.5m a year to run Pendleside Hospice of which the Hospice has to raise over £3.5m from charitable donations and the generosity of the people of Burnley and Pendle.

Christina Cope said: “We’re incredibly grateful to the team at Sugden Ltd for their enthusiasm to fundraise for Pendleside and making this Golf Day an annual event  - we really appreciate their support”

Founded in 1972, Sugden Ltd is a world-leader in the design and manufacture of hotplate plants used to produce products such as pancakes, English muffins, crumpets, potato cakes, Welsh cakes, faris and soda bread.

Over almost half a century, Sugden Ltd has built an international reputation based on its industry-leading capabilities and quality, custom-designed products, all of which are made in Britain. The business has doubled in size over the last five years in response to surging demand for its products from an international client base that includes well-known food producers in countries based in Europe, United States of America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

In August 2019, Sugden Ltd moved into a 35,000sq ft state-of-the-art new factory in Nelson, and the company continues to invest significantly in its people and technologies to ensure its capabilities and offering remains industry leading.
