Lancashire creative brand-building agency Studio LWD has completed an entire brand refresh and collaborative website relaunch for multidisciplinary environmental firm, Your Environment Ltd.

The Poulton-Le-Fylde based agency secured the brief earlier this year following organic outreach and has taken charge of bringing geotechnical consulting into modernity through a brand-new look.

The agency’s specialist team was tasked with creating a new, fresh and professional brand with strong visuals – both off and online – in order to build stronger connections with the target community.

It is one of a number of similar projects that the firm has completed this year and was done so in collaboration with Tienda Digital for the website, Wayne Myers for photography and Route Nine Studios for videography.

Your Environment Ltd is an expert in contaminated land and geotechnical surveys, and provide scalable services for homeowners, developers, planning consultants and architects.

The old branding was created in 2011 when the business started and featured a leaf graphic.

The new branding is a completely different approach both visually and strategically, designed to position the firm as a leader that is disrupting the market, whilst also demonstrating it has a friendly team and provides a high level of service.

Laura Weldon, creative director at Studio LWD said: “The old branding had a huge disconnect between what the business was doing and delivering and thus, how the brand identity was being presented.

“Between us, we knew that this needed to be rectified to ensure that the target audience identifies with the brand, which in turn, would generate future brand loyalty.

Over the last few months, Studio LWD’s team have held a series of strategy workshops to uncover the mission and desires of Your Environment to ensure this could be reflected in the brand itself.

These sessions led to the development of a brand strategy, which influenced the brand visual identity with a view to helping Your Environment stand out in the marketplace.

Laura added: “During the brand workshops, we quickly identified that Your Environment wanted to come across as friendly to represent their team and high level of customer service, so we moved away from the traditional environment colours and instead bright colours were used.

“This also helped the firm move away from the norm and stand out in the marketplace.”

Matthew Blakey, managing director of Your Environment said: “The new branding is everything that we are and the whole development process was very exciting. We learnt a lot about ourselves and how our clients perceive us.

“The logo mark works perfectly – it’s a standalone graphic that can work well in print and just as well on a JCB or drilling rig, which is what we needed.

“Working with the Studio LWD Team has been a fantastic experience. It was a big decision for us to rebrand, but we quickly realised we needed to change the way we are seen by the marketplace.

“Working with them has helped ensure we covered every area and really focused on our customers. “The way Studio LWD engaged the whole team was fantastic. They are highly organised, friendly and respond so quickly. We are continuing our relationship with them for the long term as they help us develop our social media strategies and stay ahead in the market.”

Studio LWD is a multi-service brand-building agency that captures the essence of a business ethos and creates a visionary journey which guarantees high engagement and recall.

Founded in 2012, the firm is made up of a group of strategic thinkers and creatives who create engaging work, grounded in solid strategy.

With experience working with some of the world’s most iconic brands, such as Virgin, Nike, Tesco, Aldi and the British Council, the team are experts in their field.
