Accrington Stanley welcomed valued commercial partners to the club’s training ground as they celebrated their existing sponsors and officially welcomed new businesses ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Sponsors from across the Stanley family, including stand sponsors Farleys Solicitors and Taylors Scaffolding, joined members of the first-team squad and coaching staff for a special training session, before taking part in a penalty shoot-out against Stanley goalkeeper James Rogerson.

With the first-team squad and coaching team watching on, sponsors were tasked with holding their nerve from 12 yards.

There were some outstanding penalties, a string of impressive saves from Rogerson and plenty of celebrations, including memorable knee slides from representatives of Taylors Scaffolding and Clayton Park Bakery.

Following the action on the pitch, guests headed inside the Stanley Sports Hub to enjoy refreshments, including Clayton Park pies, before taking part in Sky Sports-style interviews where sponsors spoke about their businesses, their partnerships with the club and what Accrington Stanley means to them.

The penalty shoot-out draw was won by Adrian from the Official Accrington Stanley Supporters Trust, who took home the very first signed Accrington Stanley football of the 2026/27 season, which the OASST will auction to raise funds.

Accrington Stanley commercial manager Jodie Hargreaves said: "It was fantastic to bring all of our sponsors together in one place and give them the opportunity to spend time with the players and coaching staff ahead of the new season.

“Days like this are a great way to thank our existing partners for their continued support while also welcoming new sponsors into the Stanley family. There was a brilliant atmosphere throughout, plenty of laughs and some good penalties! We really appreciate the backing of all our sponsors and we're looking forward to building on those relationships throughout the season."

Stephen Taylor, from Taylor’s Scaffolding, said: “It is a privilege to put something back into the community. Being a local family, it’s an honour to be part of something as big and amazing as this.”

Paul Mulderrig, from Farleys Solicitors, said: “We have got offices throughout Lancashire and it is great to be associated with one of the institutions of this part of Lancashire. The Accrington Stanley team puts the town on the map and we’re very proud to be associated with the club.”

David Williams, from Accrin Mortgages, said: “I just wanted to give something back to the club and to raise the profile of my business. Accrington Stanley is one of the biggest businesses in Accrington, so what a great place to launch my business.”

Lee Ellison, from Walton & Walton, Auctions added: “Accrington Stanley is the heart of Accrington. There’s a buzz about Accrington Stanley everywhere you go in the town, you see Accy tops everywhere, everybody absolutely loves it.”
