Skiddle, the UK’s leading independent event ticketing platform, has reflected on a significant year of growth in 2024, recently releasing its annual business roundup, providing data on the platform’s performance.

A year marked by a surge in ticket sales and attendance, driven by increasing demand for experience-driven events, resilience in the festival sector, and heightened government support for the grassroots scene, 2024 brought both challenges and opportunities.

Throughout this changeable period, Skiddle remained a steadfast partner for event organisers, ensuring seamless experiences for both organisers and audiences alike, as demonstrated by the statistics provided.

Among its achievements in 2024, Skiddle facilitated £163m in face-value ticket sales, an 18 per cent increase from 2023.

The platform supported over 157,000 events and sold an impressive 7.7m tickets, demonstrating the continued growth and success of the live events industry.

Also, Skiddle onboarded 18,000 new accounts in 2024, reinforcing its commitment to delivering long-term value.

With a 97 per cent promoter retention rate and 92 per cent of organisers opting for multi-year contract renewals, Skiddle’s platform continues to foster lasting partnerships.

Skiddle, which has a base in Preston, also engaged 2.9m active app users, sending 52m push notifications and 63.3m marketing emails. Additionally, the platform’s “What’s On” guide saw more than 50m event searches, making it easier for customers to discover and book the best events across the UK.

Skiddle’s expert customer support team handled 29,000 calls, maintaining the platform’s status as the  number 1 ticketing platform on reviews.io with prompt solutions and unparalleled customer service.
