Seriun opened the doors to its new Burnley office for a relaxed early evening office warming event – a milestone made possible thanks to the customers, partners and friends who’ve supported the business throughout its journey.

Around 40 guests joined the Seriun team to take a first look at the new space, enjoy first-class food courtesy of Simply Classic, and drinks (including cocktails and mocktails personally mixed by managing director Richard Lee), and catch up with familiar faces from across the Lancashire business community.

The atmosphere was warm, welcoming and very “Seriun” – friendly conversations, people reconnecting, and plenty of laughter filling the room.

During the event, Richard Lee shared a short but heartfelt speech, giving guests a “potted history” of Seriun’s story. He spoke about how the business began back in 2003 and how far it has come since – growing steadily alongside customers, many of whom have trusted Seriun for well over a decade.

Richard also paid tribute to the Seriun team, emphasising how central they are to the company’s success.

He highlighted several examples of team members who have developed their careers within the business, moving through the ranks thanks to support, training and a genuine focus on nurturing talent.

“Promotion from within is what we do,” he said. “The best talent we have is homegrown – from apprentices to project engineers. Thank you to all you guys for being customers, influencers, and people who bang our drum out there on the networking circuit. We really, really appreciate it, and we couldn’t do it without you.”

Mark Edwards operations director echoed Richard’s gratitude, thanking both the team and customers, describing them as “amazing” and central to everything Seriun does.

Mark reflected on how the company’s services have evolved over the past decade: from traditional break fix IT support to a highly consultative, proactive and people focused approach. “It’s no longer about fixing PCs,” he explained. “It’s about helping people and looking after them.”

He also celebrated the growth of Seriun’s cybersecurity division, led by Head of Cyber Wayne Fulton – expanding from zero to a five person team in just five years. Mark went on to introduce the newest chapter in Seriun’s journey: the arrival of James Stott, formerly of Burnley College, who joins as Transformational Lead to head up Seriun’s new AI division.

“With your help, we’ll keep changing and adapting,” Mark said. “We’ll continue bringing you the services and solutions you need to optimise your businesses. Thank you – genuinely, from the bottom of our hearts – to everyone who’s supported us over the years, and to our brilliant staff who give their all every day.”

The office warming event wasn’t just about a new space; it was a celebration of relationships, progress and shared achievements.

Opening the Burnley office marks an exciting next chapter for Seriun, and the evening served as a reminder that the company’s success is built on strong partnerships, loyal customers, a dedicated team and a fantastic reputation.

As Seriun continues to grow, one thing remains unchanged: its commitment to supporting its customers, investing in its people, and staying rooted in the community it’s proud to be part of.
