Daisy has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Pendleside Hospice by sponsoring two key fundraising events in 2026.
The telecoms provider will once again sponsor both the Pendleside Hospice Corporate Challenge and Pendleside Hospice Does Strictly, building on the success of previous years and strengthening its long-term support for the hospice’s vital work across Burnley, Pendle and the surrounding areas.
As part of its renewed partnership, Daisy has also pledged to help grow business involvement in hospice fundraising by encouraging 100 companies to take part in the Corporate Challenge this year.
The Corporate Challenge brings together businesses from across the region to take part in fundraising activities that support Pendleside Hospice, while also promoting teamwork, wellbeing and collaboration within participating organisations.
Last year the event raised an impressive £249,185.02, demonstrating the impact businesses can have when working together for a shared cause.
Daisy employees played an active role in the challenge themselves, raising over £30,000 and earning recognition on the night by scooping three awards.
Daisy has also confirmed its support for Pendleside Does Strictly for a third consecutive year.
The popular event raised £100,724.27 in 2025 and has become a highlight of the hospice’s fundraising calendar, bringing together dancers, supporters and sponsors to raise vital funds for patient care and family support services.
Speaking about the partnership, Matthew Riley, chief executive and founder of Daisy, said: “Our partnership with Pendleside Hospice is something we’re incredibly proud of. Recommitting our support for 2026 reflects how important this cause is to our business, our people and the communities we serve.”
“The Corporate Challenge has shown just how powerful the local business community can be when it comes together. Setting the challenge of getting 100 companies involved is ambitious, but we know the difference it could make to the community.”
Mary Lenehan, who headed up the fundraising team at Daisy in 2025, said: “What makes these events so special is the way they bring people together. Seeing colleagues and other local businesses unite behind Pendleside Hospice has been incredibly motivating.
“By pledging to grow the Corporate Challenge this year, we’re hoping to inspire even more organisations to get involved and be part of something that genuinely matters.
“And every penny really does make a difference, so no matter whether you’re a small business raising hundreds of pounds or a large corporate raising thousands, every bit helps towards the pot.”
Lisa Clarke, Fundraiser at Pendleside Hospice, added: “The Corporate Challenge continues to grow each year, and Daisy’s pledge to bring 100 businesses on board gives us a fantastic platform to build on that success.”
“We’d encourage businesses of all sizes to get involved, whether it’s their first time taking part or they’re returning supporters, and be part of something that has a real and lasting impact.”
Daisy will host a soft launch event for the Corporate Challenge at its offices on 19th March, from 4.00pm to 6.00pmand is encouraging fellow local business owners to come along and find out more about the initiative and how they can take part.
