Graphic Designer Lindsay and Director Kimberley were delighted to spend a sunny day at Lowerhouse Cricket Club over the Easter break, volunteering as part of a fundraising event for The Brain Tumour Charity.

Attracting supporters from across the county, the charity cricket match was organised in memory of famous England cricket player David Capel, who had ties with the local club, by his son, Jordan Capel.

“Jordan lost his father around the same time that my own father passed away, and to the same condition - a brain tumour,” says Kimberley. “We’ve been working with The Brain Tumour Charity for almost two years now, raising funds for their cause with our ongoing programme, The Power of Print.

“When the opportunity came up to attend a local fundraising event for the charity and support Jordan in his efforts, I immediately wanted to volunteer to help out. The Brain Tumour Charity does such important work in supporting those diagnosed with a brain tumour, as well as their loved ones and the people who care for them, and they rely entirely on voluntary donations to carry out their work. Supporting their cause through events such as this, and through our own programme, is a way for me to honour my dad and continue to contribute towards his legacy.

“We had a fantastic day at the cricket club, where I’d managed to rally the troops and take along my husband, Barrie, our children, my sisters, and my mum. Altogether, Jordan’s event raised over £1,300 for the charity, which is amazing! It was an absolute pleasure to be involved, and we’ll be keeping an eye out for more local fundraising events that we can volunteer at and support.”

Our ongoing fundraising programme, The Power of Print, sees a percentage of the profits earned from print projects donated directly to The Brain Tumour Charity in an effort to help with raising awareness and boosting vital funds.

Got a print project in mind? Whether it’s branded stationery, signage, or a large print-run of brochures, our team can help, and 7.5% of the cost of your project will be donated to The Brain Tumour Charity.
