Ribble Valley accountants merge

Darbyshire & Co of Whalley and Moore & Co of Accrington, two family run accountancy practices, have merged into a single practice with offices in Whalley.

Mark and Gillian Darbyshire and David and Sarah Sharples bring a wealth of experience together under one roof. Their careers have included senior positions in industry and venture capital as well as growing accountancy practices.

They are supported by a talented team of qualified accountants, tax specialists and business advisors. They offer clients an exceptional and fully rounded service from book-keeping, payroll and accounts preparation to detailed company tax advice, business planning, fund raising and audit.

The new company will trade as DSM Chartered Accountants, after the two families Darbyshire and Sharples. The M is for Moore; Les Moore was the founder of Moore & Co in Accrington over 25 years ago. David Sharples, managing director and owner of Moore & Co, said: “It was important that we included the name of Les Moore in recognition of his founding of the business and the value he added to the many clients over such a long period.”
