East Lancashire will take centre stage at the upcoming Heathrow Procurement Summit exploring opportunities for businesses to become part of the supply chain for one of the world's largest airports.
East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce chief executive Simon Brierley will chair an afternoon panel at the summit at Everton FC's Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool on Thursday 22 October.
The panel entitled SME Success Stories will bring together businesses that have secured and delivered contracts within major supply chains.
The Chamber's Christine Fare, from the training team and founder of Faremaxpro, will also deliver an Introduction to Bid Writing session designed to help businesses develop more competitive tender responses and improve their chances of winning new contracts.
Simon Brierley said: "East Lancashire is home to some of the UK's most innovative manufacturers, engineers and specialist suppliers.
"The Heathrow summit is an excellent opportunity for local businesses to understand what major buyers are looking for, make valuable connections and explore new routes to growth.
"We're delighted not only to be supporting the event but also contributing directly to the programme through both the SME Success Stories panel and bid writing workshop."
The Chamber has a long history of supporting internationally trading businesses and engaging with Heathrow on issues affecting economic growth, connectivity and supply chain development. The summit represents another opportunity to ensure East Lancashire businesses are firmly represented in national procurement conversations.
Businesses interested in procurement, supply chain diversification and growth opportunities are encouraged to attend and discover how they can access future opportunities with Heathrow and its wider supplier network.
