25 Jun 2020

Farleys Solicitors have made four promotions across its commercial and family practices following another successful year at the firm.

Angharad Bentley (Family), Ashlea Thornton (Commercial Property), Jonathan Pollard (Family) and Mark Hague (Insolvency) have all been promoted to Associate Partner in the firm’s latest round of promotions and appointments.

Angharad and Jonathan are both highly regarded members of the firm’s family team and practise all aspects of family law, including divorce and civil partnership dissolution, financial issues and children matters. Jonathan has been a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel since 2010 and regularly represents children in this specialist area of law. Both Angharad and Jonathan are also members of Resolution.

Ashlea is a commercial property specialist with experience in a wide range of work including; property finance and investment; land acquisition and disposal; the acquisition and disposal of business premises; and commercial lettings.

Mark joined Farleys in early 2019 and has been a driving force in the steep rise in insolvency work coming into the firm over the last year. Working with insolvency practitioners, directors, creditors, private individuals and lenders, Mark’s practice covers all aspects of corporate and personal insolvency.

Alongside the promotions, Molly Greenwood joins the team as a newly qualified solicitor, following the completion of her training contract with Farleys and will work alongside Farleys’ commercial team as it continues to support a wide range of businesses across the North West.

Ian Liddle, managing partner at Farleys commented: “The expertise and calibre of our people continues to be our greatest asset and as a firm we are delighted to be able to recognise the commitment and drive of Angharad, Ashlea, Jonathan and Mark with these well deserved promotions which recognise their specialist expertise, their knowledge and understanding of the sectors in which they operate.

“We are also pleased to be in a position to retain staff and continue our grow your own strategy with Molly. Making sure we invest in the brightest talent is a vital part of our long-term growth strategy”.
