Porsche Centre Bolton has joined the Friends of Foundation 92 scheme to support community sports and education projects across Salford and Greater Manchester.
The Friends of Foundation 92 programme is the membership initiative of Foundation 92, the official charity of Salford City Football Club.
The scheme raises funds to deliver activities aimed at improving physical and mental well-being, with a particular focus on increasing participation in sport among girls.
Through the scheme, Porsche Centre Bolton’s support will contribute to initiatives such as fully funded girls’ football sessions, which offer opportunities to develop skills and progress along the England Talent Pathway.
Foundation 92 also provides a range of educational and outreach activities aimed at widening access to sport for all age groups.
Steve Webb, head of business at Porsche Centre Bolton, said: “We’re really excited to be part of this because it’s not just about sport – it’s about giving young people that extra bit of belief in themselves. If we can help even a few girls take that next step in football, then it’s worth every penny.”
Foundation 92 members in the Friends scheme receive a welcome pack with branded merchandise, two Salford City FC tickets each month, online and social media exposure, and invitations to exclusive events. The scheme’s funds directly support the delivery and expansion of its programmes.
Martin Ingham-Griffith, chief executive of Foundation 92, said: “Partnerships like this make a huge difference on the ground. It means we can keep more sessions free, open more doors for girls in football, and make sure nobody misses out just because of where they live or their circumstances.”
