David Heap founded Vital Heating Solutions to offer honest, reliable heating services people could trust. What started as a family-run business has grown into a team that shares his values and dedication.

Through this growth, it has evolved into Vital Synergy, a company that brings together our experience, people, and innovation to deliver smarter energy solutions for the future.

We are thrilled to announce our rebranding and our exciting new sponsorship of Accrington Stanley, specifically securing the naming rights for the Eric Whalley Family Stand. This is a significant milestone for us.

The partnership with Accrington Stanley aligns perfectly with our mission and values.

We are passionate about supporting local communities and promoting a family friendly atmosphere at the stadium. This sponsorship is a testament to our commitment to giving back and making a positive impact.

David Heap’s journey into engineering began on the busy stalls of Accrington Market at just 15 years old.

By the time he left school at 16, he was working full time while training as a mechanic. Although he completed a year in the trade, he quickly realised his long-term ambitions lay elsewhere.

At 18, David began a new apprenticeship with East Lancs Coach Builders in Blackburn, where he learned the discipline and technical skills of commercial vehicle body building.

The four-year programme gave him a strong foundation and introduced him to the standards required for high-quality engineering work.

By his early twenties, David was ready to make a change.

He used his savings to self-fund heating and plumbing courses, often working overtime and giving up holidays to complete his training. Alongside full-time work, he took on unpaid placements and evening classes to build up his experience. His goal was clear from the start to launch his own business and grow it from the ground up.

At 24, David became a self-employed contractor. He worked six to seven days a week, often over 80 hours, building a reputation for reliability, professionalism and clean, efficient installations. Just a year later, he started taking on apprentices and growing a small team to meet demand.

In 2017, David founded Vital Heating Solutions and moved into a small industrial unit inn Read. Over time, the space was refurbished and expanded to support a larger operation with office staff and technical support.

Today, David continues to lead the company with the same values he started with hard work, precision and a commitment to doing things properly. His story is one of determination and progress, and it continues to shape the business every day.

Now, with the rebrand to Vital Synergy, David is leading the business into its next chapter. This step reflects the company’s growth, innovation, and ambition to create stronger connections with the community.

His recent support for his home football team Accrington Stanley is a clear sign of his commitment to giving back and ensuring that the success of Vital Synergy is shared locally as well as within the industry.
