PM+M, the Blackburn and Bury based chartered accountancy, business advisory and financial planning group, has welcomed a new cohort of trainees as part of its ongoing investment in early career talent, with nine new recruits joining teams across the business.

In the accounting and advisory team, Abdur-Rahman Chati and Aidan Stokes have joined the firm, where they will gain hands-on experience supporting clients with their accounting and reporting requirements while developing their professional skills alongside their studies.

The audit, accounting and advisory team has welcomed four new trainees; Halima Wadee, Khadija Waghat, Oliver Winnard and Quinn Berry. They will gain practical experience supporting client work across a broad range of sectors, while working towards their professional qualifications.

Callum Calway has joined PM+M’s financial planning team where he will gain experience supporting clients and advisers while developing his knowledge of the financial planning profession.

Muhammad Isap has joined the tax team, where he will gain experience across a range of personal and corporate tax work, while Mohammad Sheikh has joined the payroll team and will support clients with payroll processing and compliance. Alongside their day-to-day roles, both will follow structured professional study programmes tailored to their respective specialisms.

The new trainees have joined PM+M from a range of educational backgrounds, including Blackburn College, Runshaw College, Nelson and Colne College and Westholme Senior School and Sixth Form. Several have also studied at universities including Leeds, Lancaster and Salford, reflecting the diverse routes young people can take into a professional career. The trainees will continue their studies with First Intuition - Manchester, Skills Edge and a specialist payroll apprenticeship.

Helen Clayton – managing partner of PM+M – said: “Our trainee programme is a really important part of how we invest in the future of PM+M, so it’s fantastic to welcome another talented group to the firm. They each bring their own strengths, experiences and ambitions, and we’re looking forward to seeing them develop as they gain valuable experience alongside their studies. We’re committed to giving our new trainees the support, opportunities and encouragement they need to succeed, and we’re excited to see what they achieve during their time with us.”
