Pierce Business Advisory and Accountancy Group has announced the appointment of Lucy O’Gorman as Accounts Director, further strengthening the firm’s senior leadership team across its offices in Blackburn, Bolton and Manchester.

Lucy joins Pierce with 18 years’ experience in accountancy practice, having spent her career in highly client-facing director roles supporting owner-managed businesses across the UK, alongside a number of overseas clients. Her broad portfolio spans multiple sectors, including manufacturing, e-commerce, wholesale, retail and investment portfolios.

In her role, Lucy will provide proactive business and strategic advice to SME owner-managed businesses. She will work closely with clients to simplify complex financial and operational issues, offering clear guidance and support to help them achieve their goals while building strong, long-term relationships.

Lucy’s role at Pierce will combine client-facing responsibilities with project-based work, focused on streamlining efficiencies and improving internal processes to enhance the client experience.

Lucy O’Gorman said: “I’m really excited to be joining Pierce at such a positive time for the firm.

"I’ve always enjoyed getting to know my clients and truly understanding how their businesses operate, which allows me to support them through everything from day-to-day commercial challenges to longer-term strategic decisions.

"Pierce’s values, its focus on people and its commitment to delivering practical, high-quality advice align perfectly with the way I like to work.”

Lucy added: “My aim is always to simplify complexity, provide clarity and be a trusted adviser that clients can rely on as their business grows and evolves.”

Lisa Kennery, Partner at Pierce, said: “Lucy brings a wealth of experience and a genuinely client-centred approach that fits perfectly with our culture at Pierce.

"Her sector knowledge, combined with her passion for building strong relationships and improving processes, will add real value to both our clients and our wider team. As we continue to grow across Blackburn, Bolton and Manchester, appointments like Lucy’s demonstrate our ongoing investment in high-quality people who share our commitment to outstanding service and trusted advice.”

Lucy’s appointment reflects Pierce’s continued focus on strengthening its leadership team to support the evolving needs of SME businesses across the region and beyond.
