Pierce continues North West growth with acquisition of Anthony Marshall practice

Pierce Business Advisory & Accountancy Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of Anthony Marshall.

This marks Pierce’s second acquisition, following the successful integration of Bolton firm, DonnellyBentley, in 2023, and represents another important step in the firm’s continued growth across the North West, both organically and by acquisition.

The acquisition reflects Pierce’s commitment to building a strong regional presence while preserving the values and relationships that underpin local professional services.

Anthony Marshall has built a loyal client base through its reputation for outstanding service, trusted advice and close-knit community relationships.

These values strongly align with Pierce’s own people-first approach, making the transition a natural fit for both firms.

Clients will now benefit from access to a broader range of advisory and specialist services. Importantly, the existing team and offices will remain in place, ensuring continuity, familiarity and trusted relationships are maintained.

Pierce places a strong emphasis on its people, and the acquisition reinforces the firm’s commitment to investing in staff, supporting career development and creating a collaborative culture where individuals and clients alike can thrive.

Jimmy King, chief executive of Pierce Business Advisory and Accountancy Group, said: “Anthony Marshall Ltd is a practice with an excellent reputation, built on trust, community connection and genuine care for its clients.

"Those values mirror our own at Pierce, and this acquisition is very much about people – supporting staff, protecting client relationships and continuing to deliver outstanding service.

"We are delighted to welcome Anthony and his team into the Pierce Group as part of our ambitious growth plans in the region.”

Anthony Marshall added: “I am incredibly proud of what we have built at Anthony Marshall and the relationships we have formed with our clients over the years.

"Joining Pierce allows us to preserve that personal, community-focused approach while giving our clients and team access to broader expertise and opportunities. It feels like the right home for our practice and our people.”

The decision was driven by shared values and a mutual focus on long-term client relationships and staff development.

Pierce continues to pursue growth opportunities that complement our culture and enhance the support we provide to businesses and individuals across the North West region.

With three offices across Lancashire, Pierce Business Advisory and Accountancy Group continues to grow sustainably, guided by trust, community connection and a dedication to delivering exceptional client service.
