Phil Kelly, Petty Chartered Surveyors

Name: Phil Kelly
Company: Petty Chartered Surveyors
Position: Director

Brief CV: I hate to show my age but I have now clocked up 30 years of experience as a Chartered Surveyor! I love the industry, the people and the opportunities and looking back I wouldn’t change my career path at all. Nowadays, I am fully engaged in providing property valuation advice on behalf of private and corporate clients.

What’s keeping you busy at work at the moment? Running a busy team of surveyors who provide a national property valuation and appraisal service. I am a firm believer in building and maintaining strong relations so I always try to keep regular contact with a wide client base. We are also working hard to expand our coverage into new areas and sectors and are currently looking at areas to open new offices. We don’t sit still!

Favourite music of the moment: I spent a lot of time in the car so a good music selection is key! At the moment Paul Weller’s latest album is a firm favourite.

Your must-watch TV: Repeats of Black Adder on Gold!

Ideal way to wind down after work: Working on my smallholding, playing tennis, cricket and cycling plus taking the kids to watch Burnley and Accrington Stanley!

Best piece of business advice: Always listen and treat people with respect, but in these challenging times, never stop networking and be a Somalian Pirate rather than an oil tanker!
