Family-run estate agents Pendle Hill Properties have announced the return of their egg-stremely popular #ShopLocal Easter competition in Longridge for 2023.

Over 250 entries were received in the competition last year and back by popular demand, Pendle Hill Properties have once again teamed up with Longridge Town Council and Love Longridge to bring Easter fun to local school children, as well as encouraging people to #ShopLocal.

The ‘Easter Egg Colouring Competition’ will see posters delivered to local primary schools, with children then challenged to colour in their eggs, before handing them into participating shops.

Prizes up for grabs include a giant ‘Easter Bunny’ and a giant ‘Easter Egg,’ while each participating shop will have 20 Easter Eggs to give away to the children handing in their entries, courtesy of sponsors Pendle Hill Properties.

All entries must be submitted by 12pm on Saturday 8th April 2023.

Once collected, the decorated entries will then be taken to Longridge Town Council, who will have the mammoth task of choosing one lucky winner.

Thomas Turner, sales director of Pendle Hill Properties, said: “I am so proud to live here in Longridge and with Pendle Hill Properties becoming a very familiar name in the local area, we were determined to give something back once again this year.

“I have lost count of the number of parents who have said how much their child enjoyed taking part in our 2022 competition, and it was always top of our list to engage with the local community again this year.”

Councillor Nick Stubbs, Mayor of Longridge, commented: “The Easter Egg competition was a big highlight of 2022 and I am ecstatic that Pendle Hill Properties have decided to sponsor it again here in Longridge this year.

“Not only is the activity extremely fun for our youngsters, but it gives us the perfect opportunity to showcase the wonderful businesses we have here in Longridge and encourage people to #ShopLocal.”

Gary Ward from Love Longridge, added: “Once again this tremendous initiative is great for our high street and for pushing people to #ShopLocal.

“We would like to say a big thank you to Pendle Hill Properties for this fantastic community engagement once again.”
