A budding barber’s cut throat ambition has seen him selected as the face of a leading UK salon supplier campaign.

Stuart Craig, the 27-year-old owner of Shokwaves Barber Shop, Colne, has teamed up with REM UK Ltd to front their new campaign REM MEN 2015/16, which focuses purely on barbering in the UK.

Stuart said: “I was delighted to be selected by the team at REM UK Ltd; this is a fantastic personal accolade, but also a great opportunity for my own business, which has just entered its second year of trading.”

“The campaign focuses on barbering in the UK, something I am particularly passionate about; it’s good to be involved in taking modern barbering to the next level.”

Stuart shares his Spring Lane salon with sister Kia Craig, who owns Hair by Kia-Melissa. Together, the duo have built a successful business, stemmed by their devotion to the UK barbering and hairdressing industry.

REM UK Ltd is a leading supplier of practical, stylish products to the salon, beauty and spa industries. Based in Nelson, the company received a ‘Highly Commended’ status at the 2015 Red Rose Awards.

Recognising the growth in the barber industry, REM decided to launch a new side to their business which focuses on producing quality British made furniture for the UK barbering industry.

Trevor Lingard, commercial manager at REM UK Ltd, said: “To support the retro styling prevalent in the traditionally styled barber shops, we chose Stuart to be our REM-MAN and model throughout the campaign to represent the REM MEN adwork.” “His commitment to the barbering industry matches our own philosophy, and we’re looking forward to working together on some exciting projects over the coming year.”
