Oswaldtwistle to splash Mary Portas cash
A collective of Oswaldtwistle companies is set to launch a 'shop local' initiative in a bid to attract more shoppers and businesses to the town.

Oswaldtwistle Civic Arts Centre director Gayle Knight is spearheading the project whilst Scott Dawson Advertising is handling the marketing, printing flyers and filming a promotional video.
Gayle said that Oswaldtwistle already contains many elements of a successful town centre, from cafes, restaurants and bakeries through to equestrian equipment stores, furniture emporiums and funeral directors. The initiative will officially launch on May 25, alongside an exhibition of Oswaldtwistle-themed photography and art. Flyers will be distributed to thousands of homes throughout Hyndburn.
