Oswaldtwistle Mills to support East Lancashire Hospice in 2024

East Lancashire Hospice is delighted to announce that we have been selected as the charity partner for Oswaldtwistle Mills for the upcoming year. The local shopping village in Hyndburn has been a dedicated supporter of our hospice for several years, engaging in numerous fundraising activities, raffles, and events.

Last year, our partnership reached new heights with the opening of our Pre-Loved Boutique within Oswaldtwistle Mills. This pop-up shop, stocked with pre-loved items donated by our supporters, has been instrumental in raising crucial funds for the hospice. Oswaldtwistle Mills have been supporters of East Lancashire Hospice since 2018 and have raised over £38,000 from the Pre-Loved Boutique and various fundraising activities.

Earlier this year, the staff at Oswaldtwistle Mills were given the opportunity to vote for their preferred charity, and we are thrilled to have been chosen as their Charity Partner once again.

Leanne Green, head of fundraising at East Lancashire Hospice, expressed her gratitude, saying: "We absolutely love working with the team at Oswaldtwistle Mills. Everyone is so caring and friendly, and to be chosen as their charity again this year is incredible.

"This year marks our 40th year, celebrating four decades of caring for our community. We heavily rely on the support from our community to ensure we can continue to be here for another 40 years.

"It's really exciting to work with local businesses on charity partnerships, and we are over the moon to be working with everyone at Oswaldtwistle Mills again."

Nick Pitman, MD of Oswaldtwistle Mills, said: “We are thrilled to be supporting the hospice again, as voted by our colleagues. This decision highlights just how special the charity is to so many people.”

As we celebrate our 40th year, this renewed partnership with Oswaldtwistle Mills comes at a particularly special time. The ongoing support from them and our broader community is vital to our mission of providing compassionate care and support to those in need.
