Organisations across the county back Lancashire Business Day

Organisations from across the red rose county are pledging their support for Lancashire Business Day, which takes place at the exclusive new Crow Wood Hotel on November 11.

The celebratory event is now in its third year and is an opportunity for businesses of sizes and industries to network, celebrate their roots, shout about their achievements and be inspired by guests speakers and expert panelists.

A record number of Lancashire organisations have already committed their support, signing on as sponsors, patrons and media partners.

Lancashire Business Day was created by Lancashire Business View magazine, which orchestrates the day’s activities.

FW Capital, HSBC, Preston’s College are the most recent to pledge their support as patrons.

Andy Traynor, senior investment executive, FW Capital, said: “Lancashire is home to some really exciting businesses which FW Capital, as a fund manager, is here to support. We are passionate about serving the business community and to be involved in this event which celebrates the county and the opportunities it offers.”

They join Preston based Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC); Blackburn businesses Beever and Struthers chartered accountants and Curtis Law Solicitors; Nelson’s PDS Engineering, Burnley’s VEKA and Colne’s XLCR Vehicle Management.

The event is also supported by 21 Digital, Bigtank and Peter Scott Printers, which also prints and posts Lancashire Business View.

We are passionate about serving the business community and to be involved in this event which celebrates the county and the opportunities it offers.

All three chambers of commerce, representing East Lancashire, North and Western Lancashire, and Lancaster and its surrounding districts, will be involved as media partners, alongside Downtown in Business Lancashire and lovelocalnetworking.

The official charity partner for Lancashire Business Day 2019 is Community Foundation for Lancashire. Karen Morris, the foundation’s development director, said: “As an organisation that facilitates charitable giving to community grassroots causes, we have a strong track record working in partnership with the county’s thriving business sector and are delighted to be the official charity partner for Lancashire Business Day.”

Richard Slater, publisher of Lancashire Business View and founder of Lancashire Business Day, said: “The level of support we have received from across the county, from organisations of all description, has been fantastic.

“The theme this year is #Lancashireandproud and the huge volumes of positive feedback proves that we are a county buzzing with activity and optimism, and excited for the opportunity to shout about our achievements.”

Guests will enjoy first class, locally sourced entertainment, food and drinks. It is also one of the first events to take place within the brand new, luxury Crow Wood Hotel in Burnley, and the venue has donated a prize to help raise charity funds, with a lucky winner receiving a voucher for dinner, bed and breakfast at the hotel.

The event will also provide an update on the ‘Buy it in Lancashire, bring back a billion’ campaign, which aims to boost the local economy by £1bn by encouraging companies to source locally.

More details about the day’s activities, guest speakers and panelists will be revealed shortly. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online.
