Rosetta Brands Ltd, which has just moved into the Rural Business Centre in Bilsborrow near Preston, got a commendation for its outstanding sales performance and customer satisfaction in 2012.

The company, founded just a few years ago by director Nick Comer, is renowned for selling global novelty items such as the bestselling Beard Beanie, which sold out over Christmas, and the My Sack golf ball holders .They were  in the top 25 per cent Amazon Worldwide for sales and customer service .

And company turnover has quadrupled since the start of last year and according to Nick could now be heading for £1m in 2013.

A spokesman for Amazon, who sent a special certificate of commendation, said: “Thanks for the hard work and dedication that made these results possible. You provide an exceptional shopping experience for customers on Amazon.

Nick said: “We are absolutely thrilled. It’s nice to be recognised by the industry and this couldn’t have come a better time. We have just moved into custom built offices at Myerscough where we have installed new software and backup systems to cope with ever increasing demand. We are actively recruiting staff and also expanding our Lancashire product range and also our international product range.”

Rosetta Brands has brought to market such products as the Beard Beanie worn by footballers, sportsmen and women and which is also set to be a hit at next year’s Winter Olympics in Russia,  and the Morph suit –which has proved a multimillion pound marketing success around the world.

Rosetta also has products such as Gameface - Team Teeth and Flair Hair – all distributed from a special gifts distribution depot in Kendal, Cumbria.

But a new venture set to put Rosetta firmly on the retail map of the UK is a new web site for high quality foods and products with a strong regional flavour - whether Welsh Scots, Cornish or Lancastrian - everything from Traditional British sweets, London Cuppa Tea to Cornish food hampers, Lancashire and Wensleydale cheeses to Farrahs toffee of Harrogate and Hebridean sea salt and cheese from the Isle of Arran.

The Rosetta Brands success story continues as they have just signed a deal to be the online retailer for world famous Lancashire vegetable growers Robinsons of Forton - home of the Mammoth Onion.

“We are connecting the local farm products to the internet," said Nick who says he would be delighted to hear from any local or regional food manufacturers who want to expand their online presence via Amazon.

Meanwhile big sellers for the summer are such as items as special beer and wine chillers and Nick is also in talks with FIFA to become the official supplier of branded gift and novelty products for the next World Cup in Brazil in 2014. Samba drums or Vuvuzelas? “Watch this space”, says Nick.
