OccupEye bought by Texas software firm

Texas-based Asure Software has acquired Blackburn's OccupEye, a workplace management tool that helps employers streamline processes and cut costs.

OccupEye was founded in 1987 and serves more than 8,000 clients across 80 countries. Its system uses sensors monitor workplace activity to determine whether space is being used efficiently and recommend areas for savings.

Asure specialises in workplace management software, and sees OccupEye's sensor-based solutions as a way to break new ground in the Internet of Things marketplace.
