Northern Pasta Co to enter Dragons' Den tonight

A British spelt pasta manufacturer that recently relocated to Carnforth is to appear on BBC's Dragons' Den tonight.

Northern Pasta Co's Imogen Royall and Matt Kenyon will appear before the dragons hoping to secure investment to support a new production facility that will generate new jobs in the area.

Founded by husband-and-wife team Imogen and Matt, Northern Pasta Co is a heritage grain pasta brand on a mission to craft 'exceptionally delicious' pasta without compromising soil health, the environment or personal wellbeing.

The pair have developed a company that produces pasta from regeneratively grown British spelt and crafted using traditional slow bronze extrusion at the brand's Keer Park headquarters in Lancashire.

Imogen said: "It is such an exciting feeling knowing those who tune in are about to see one of the biggest moments of our brand journey.

"We have been counting down the days and we are just so grateful for the experience. We can't wait for our community to discover which of the dragons love our pasta as much as they do." 

The pair will be hoping to convince dragons Deborah Meaden, Peter Jones, Steven Bartlett, and Touker Suleyman to invest in their business.

This isn't the first time the business, first established in 2022, has appeared on national television. Having initially started selling their bags of pasta at local markets before progressing into a website offering nationwide deliveries, they were spotted by celebrity chef James Martin who asked the pair to appear on his Saturday Morning TV show three years ago.

Dragon's Den will be on BBC One tonight from 8pm.
