Northern Industrial to recruit 16

Blackburn-based industrial automation spare parts and repair supplier Northern Industrial has created 16 new jobs to service increasing demand from online sales.

The website, designed and maintained in-house, has around 4.2 million pages, and enables the company to provide new, reconditioned and obsolete parts and repair services across the world from its premises on Shadsworth Industrial Estate, Blackburn.

Launched three years ago, the website has given the business a global audience and driven a £3m increase in annual sales.

The firm expanded its premises in October of last year in anticipation of future growth.

Managing director David Lenehan said: “We’re looking to recruit 16 positions immediately across a spectrum of roles to support our ongoing growth, boosted substantially by the success of our website, which has allowed us to tap into a global customer base.

“The last few years have been great for us and every indication is that it will only get better." David added: "Having the right staff with the right attitude is absolutely essential to us. Both electronics engineers and multi-lingual staff are of special interest, so if you feel you may have the right skills, get in touch.”
