Northern Industrial creates 11 new jobs in Blackburn

Northern Industrial, a leading global supplier of industrial automation parts and repairs, is looking to continue its year-on-year growth by creating 11 more positions to be filled as soon as possible.

Although the company, which is based on Shadsworth Business Park, Blackburn, has been providing their services to local manufacturers since 1978, their launch into e-commerce in 2008 has seen them grow over 400 per cent over the past five years and they now support customers in over 130 countries.

The company, who have won numerous awards for their success in export and international trade, have openings in several areas including electronics engineering, purchasing, customer service and human resources as well as apprenticeships in electronics engineering and marketing.

“Last year we had under 40 people and aim to have 70 by the end of the year,” said David Lenehan, managing director at Northern Industrial. “Unfortunately, our canteen and car park is getting a bit full these days and buying pizza on a Friday has turned into a major operation” Northern Industrial offers a relaxed and flexible working environment with opportunities for progression alongside a competitive remuneration and benefits package.
