On 6th July, LC Automation hosted a brand-new event; North West Manufacturing – The Directors Cut at their Blackburn head office and it proved to be a huge success.
Were you there, or did you miss out?
Nigel Dean, marketing manager at LC Automation, explains what it was all about: "We always said this was going to be a different type of business event, and it certainly was. A great range of directors, owners, and senior managers took a leap of faith, booked their tickets, and turned up on the day. They were not disappointed, with excellent feedback from attendees saying it was even better than they expected!"
The morning was based around a hands-on robot demonstration from Mitsubishi Electric, where they discussed how robots can increase production in smaller manufacturing companies, not just multinationals. LC Automation experts were also on hand to talk visitors through the range of innovative safety solutions that are available to keep employees safe - without harming productivity.
Support, Guidance… and Grant Funding
Later, Will Kinghorn, gave an insight into Made Smarter and some of the support, guidance, and grant funding that can help manufacturers (and their supply chain) to develop a robotic solution that will meet their future manufacturing goals. "The mention of matched grants of up to £20,000 certainly raised a few eyebrows and plenty of interesting questions for Will," comments Nigel Dean.
Finally, René Power, brought all of his 25 years of experience in helping manufacturers to win larger contracts, with a timely reminder that using the right customer-focused marketing can help manufacturers to survive, and even thrive, during a downturn. With so much uncertainty around at the moment, René’s message was ‘don’t panic’ and focus your marketing efforts where they will be most effective. Doing nothing is not an option!
Will You Miss Out Next Time?
Nigel Dean ends by saying: "It was a great day all round, but if you feel like you missed out, we will be hosting another Directors Cut event sometime in the Autumn. It will have a similar look and feel to this one, but with a different focus, different content, and it will be even bigger and better. So, follow LC Automation on LinkedIn or connect with me to make sure you don’t miss out. We'll see you next time."
