Night of laughter in aid of charity

Northern comedian Justin Moorhouse is to headline at a Blackburn comedy night held in aid of Blackburn Youth Zone.

The Hippo Humour event will be held at the newly extended Hippo Motor Group, Trident Park, on Thursday, March 19th.

Tom Preston, Hippo Motor Group managing director, said: “As a patron of Blackburn Youth Zone we wanted to do something to raise vital funds for the charity, and, having enjoyed huge success several years ago, we decided to stage another comedy night.”

Blackburn Youth Zone is a 21st century youth hub located at the heart of Blackburn, open to young people aged 5 to 25 years old, aiming to change the prospects offered to young people in the area

The evening will also see the launch of Sterling Automotive - an Automotive Design House specialising in producing wheels, exterior modifications and interior luxury design.

Guests will enjoy street refreshments and street food from Pendle chef Paul Dickson before taking their seats in the impressive showroom for entertainment from the award-winning comedian, presenter, DJ, and actor Justin Moorhouse and support act Lea Roberts.

The night will continue with music from the legendary singer Paul Dobie and DJ, until 1am. Hippo has generously put on a free coach from and back to Will’s, Barrowford, for guests.

Tom added: “We would really love to see fellow Lancashire businesses get behind this event and join us for a night they won’t forget, while raising funds for an amazing local cause.”

Tickets are £30pp or £300 for a table of 10 and can be purchased at hippohumour1.eventbrite.com
